:: Monterey central Estate

Architect John Cirillo of GBLA Landscape Architects explained, “The site is part of a major development by the Stockland Trust Group. The location is Dunnings Road, Point Cook. There are a number of developments in the vicinity and we wanted to create something that stood out. With this thought in mind, we utilised Kanmantoo Bluestone at the entrance to the estate. We specified similar, but larger columns of stone to be erected adjacent to the barbecues. The parkland is a broad expanse of land, so we needed to make the barbecue area a highly visible focal point.

Therefore, Streetscapes Pty Ltd constructed a raised landscaped area that houses a contemporary pavilion constructed from Kanmantoo walling stone. The columns and the galvanised roof structure provide shade and respite from prevailing winds.
